MOSES, GOD’S FRIEND
Who is your best friend? I’m thinking of my best friend here on earth. I am passionate about this friend. I would do anything for this friend. I can tell this friend anything and trust that this friend will have my best interest at heart. This friend would do anything for me. This friend is my husband.
I was taught to be a best friend by God who is passionate about being a friend to us.
“You must worship no other gods, but only the LORD, for he is a God who is passionate about his relationship with you.”
Exodus 34, NLT
Having a deep, abiding, relationship with God, through Jesus Christ that is growing in love and trust teaches and allows me to grow deeper in love with my best friend. AND with others.
This passionate relationship with God teaches me about how to love others. I don’t worship them, but I try to love them like God loves me.
The more we read God’s Story we understand more about Who God is and what He wants. He loves us and wants us to love Him back. He wants us to love others in the same unconditional way, constantly forgiving, allowing for each others faults. This love compels me to tell them about God and His love for them.
Today, we meditate on these thoughts, in the middle of all the world’s busyness, we think about being a friend who extends real love. In Jesus Name, Amen
