ROMANS 12 – LIVING IT
We have been “camping out” in Romans 12 for quite a few days because we have declared this our chapter of the year. It begins with who we should be in Christ then delivers what we should do and how to live the life most pleasing to our Lord and Savior. It demands “higher ground” thinking and acting, making us more gracious with every step.
The teaching here is concise and understandable. We know exactly what we should be and how to do it. There is no question. Let the scripture teach us, one bite at a time,
“When others are happy, be happy with them. If they are sad, share their sorrow.” Romans 12:15, NLT
Dear Heavenly Father, Help us to do exactly what You are telling us to do…be happy when good comes to our friends. Remove all jealousy that robs our joy. Help us to be genuinely happy for others. Then when sorrow comes, help us to aid their comfort by simply standing by them. They do not need words, only Your touch through us. Help us to be “Jesus with skin on” to others today and always. (“Not thinking too highly of ourselves”) May all we do bring YOU glory.
In Jesus Name, Amen
