“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God…” Romans 12:2, NLT

From the Message, “Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” Romans 12, Msg

Also…”Fix your attention on God.” FOCUS on God. We live in an imperfect world with imperfect people. Do we copy imperfect people? NO…and I don’t want people copying me, either!! Copy God, the teachings of Jesus, led by HIS Holy Spirit. For Heaven’s Sake, don’t copy me and my friends. Do what God wants!

Let God tell you what to do, where to go, what His will and perfect plan for you really is and how to do it. Reading His Word, praying for wisdom, insight and understanding is a beginning. 

“Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it’s important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.” Romans 12, Msg (Read this a few times and let it soak in.)

Father, You are God. i am not. 

“…let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.” The rest of the story in Romans 12:2

Dear Heavenly Father, What a promise! Your Word, our walk by You changing the way we think, Your will is pleasing and perfect when led by You! Our desire is to live this “good and pleasing life living in your perfect will for us”. You promised that when we seek you with a sincere, honest, repentant heart, you will come and stay with us. Thank you, Lord. Come.
