A picture I found earlier this week prompted praise to God this morning…from His Word…For WHO our God is and what He does.
“i will give thanks to your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness, because your promises are backed by all the honor of your name. When I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me the strength I need.” Psalm 138, NLT
“The Lord will work out his plans for my life–for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever.” Psalm 138, NLT
“O LORD, you have examined my heart and know every thing about me.” Psalm 139
“You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am.” Psalm 139, NLT
“I look for someone to come and help me…Then I pray to you, O LORD. I say, ‘Your are my place of refuge. You are all I really want in life.” Psalm 142
“Who can be compared with the LORD our God, who is enthroned on high?” Psalm 113, NLT
“To whom, then, can we compare God?” Isaiah 40
“Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed out the mountains and the hills? Who is able to advise the Spirit of the LORD? Who know enough to be his teacher or counselor? Has the LORD ever needed anyone’s advice? Does he need instruction about what is good or what is best? NO, for all the nations of the world are nothing in comparison with him.” Isaiah 40
“…how can you say the LORD does not see your troubles? How can you say God refuses to hear your case?” Isaiah 40
“Don’t you know that the LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary.” Isaiah 40
“He gives power to those who are tired and worn out, he offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. The will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40
Yes, our fortunes are not found in the advice of a cookie, but in the All Mighty God, the Lord of our lives. What encouragement! What love! Praise to God this morning for Who He is and What He has done, still doing, and will do! In Jesus Name, Amen!
