Wouldn’t it be nice to have “do-overs” in our lives? Where some scenes in our lives that we are not proud of could be cut and left on the cutting room floor, never to be seen by anyone?
Psalm 119:5
“Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your principles!”
We lament over our past mistakes. We long for perfection. But, alas, we are human. God knew that. He sent a Savior. I quickly remember this important, life-saving element of our life story…which is HIS story in us as I read this verse this morning! When we ask for forgiveness, from straying from His principles, His law, that guides and protects us, he not only forgives, but cuts those scenes from our lives. Even better than the film editors, God does not leave those scenes on the cutting room floor, he destroys them! Not be be seen or heard of ever again. HE remembers our sins no more.
We may replay our sins, but God doesn’t. He gave us our ability to remember so we would not make the same mistakes over again, but we do not camp out in our past, we move on to the next scene.
ACTION! TAKE TWO!

Dear Heavenly Father, I am kind of amused at the thoughts on your word, that you have shown us this morning! I love you so much and I am so grateful for your saving grace. “Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your principles!” I pray that my life would not hinder anyone from seeing You. Help me to always point others to You and not me, for I am not perfect. You are God and I am not. Knowing that, is freedom.
In Jesus Name, Amen
