I SEE THE LIGHT!
“Your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. I’ve promised it once, and I’ll promise again: I will obey your wonderful law.” Psalm 119:105-106, NLT
“By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. I’ve committed myself and I’ll never turn back from living by your righteous order.”
Psalm 119:105-106, Msg
The longer miners work in the darkness under the earth the weaker their eye sight diminishes. The more we follow our dark world and all that it has to offer, avoiding God’s Word to guide our path, the more we grow weak. We become blinded to what the world is doing to us. Like a live frog put in a kettle of warm water, with the heat slowly rising to a boil…we will die to the world’s whims. (The ultimate goal of the enemy!)
“I once was blind but now I see!” said the blinded man from birth who was made to see by Jesus. “I don’t know how, all I know is, once I was blind, but now I see!”
God’s word, ALL of it, will tell us how to see again. His Holy Spirit will open our eyes to see Truth when we read it. Jesus, Who has knocked on our door, possibly numerous times, is waiting to take us from darkness to the Light, to show us the Way, to eternal life. Follow Him. Read His Word. Obey what He says. A new discernment, through the gift of the Holy Spirit will enter your mind, heart and soul and show you the way to navigate through this dark world, with all it’s troubles, to the Light at the end of the tunnel.
The we all can shout, “I can see!”
Dear Heavenly Father, Your Word is a light to my path in the darkness. Your Word speaks LIFE to my soul. Though my feet might stumble, Your Light shines on the path again, so that I might move on. You are Light! You are Truth. I believe. I will follow. Thank you for Your Light, Your Word and Your Truth!
In Jesus Name, Amen
