When we pray, “break my heart, Lord, of those things that break Yours”, it causes us to be more alert to everything that is not of Him, not Truth. We even shudder at evil more quickly and run from what is not for us. God is for us. The Psalmist is praying the same thing as we calls to God to act. We are not the judge of others, but we are to be alert for what is false. We rely on God, His Holy Spirit and the teachings of Jesus for discernment.
“LORD, it is time for you to act, for these evil people have broken your law. Truly, I love your commands more than gold, even the finest gold. Truly, each of your commandments is right. That is why I hate every false way.”
Psalm 119:126-128, NLT

Dear Heavenly Father,
Our standard for Truth is You. Our measuring tool is Your Word. If the solution to a problem goes against Your Word then it is not the right solution. We pray for discernment and we leave everything else up to You. For You are Truth. Keep us on our toes, Lord!
In Jesus Name, Amen
