Before we move on to Peter’s second letter in God’s Word to us, I caught the “last words” of his first letter and cannot move on without meditating on them for today.
“Give holy embraces all around! Peace to you–to all who walk in Christ’s ways.” 1 Peter 5, Msg
May this day be encouraging to You. You, know, I spent a lot of time this morning praising God for all of you who read this every day. I prayed for our family and friends. I also prayed for our “enemies’ for more of Christ in them so they would no longer be enemies. Yes, I pray a lot. Why? Because I believe and trust in the God who created all of us. I am committed to Him. My focus is on His face, although I may not physically see Him, so that I will obey his call as quickly as His words fall on my heart.
Seeking Him every morning over some coffee and cheerios gives me peace and calm with the assurance that whatever I face that day, He will be with me. I love having breakfast with the Savior who is King of kings and Lord of lords! Amazing that we have the privilege and opportunity to do that!! I do not take this lightly. I do not take this for granted.
So, may Peter’s last words encourage YOU as they encourage me all day long. It is my prayer that you feel my “holy embrace” to you spiritually even though most of you are many miles away….
“Give holy embraces all around! Peace to you–to all who walk in Christ’s ways.” 1 Peter 5, Msg

Dear Heavenly Father, Hallowed is Your Name! May Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us THIS day our daily needs, as You see fit, to bring You honor and glory with our lives. And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil and evil’s schemes to bring us down. For You have all power. To You be all glory forevermore. In Jesus Name, Amen
