“I COULDN’T JUST WALK AWAY”

God’s Acts

Paul couldn’t just walk away from Him. As believing followers, we, too, just can’t walk away. We cannot just walk away from declaring Jesus Christ as our Savior and our Lord. We must live for Him, rely on Him, listen to Him and worship only Him.

Paul spends years in prison but God takes care of him. He is taken from Roman leader to Roman leader to present, not only his “case” but his declaration, his witness of Who Jesus is and what He has done to bring all people to Him. This is how God fulfilled what He told Paul, through Jesus that He would do in his life.

Listen in to another opportunity to tell his “on the road to Damascus story” of how Jesus turned his life around….

Acts 26, The Message
“The Voice answered, ‘I am Jesus, the One you’re hunting down like an animal. But now, up on your feet–I have a job for you. I’ve handpicked you to be a servant and witness to what’s happened today, and to what I am going to show you.”

17-18 “‘I’m sending you off to open the eyes of the outsiders so they can see the difference between dark and light, and choose light, see the difference between Satan and God, and choose God. I’m sending you off to present my offer of sins forgiven, and a place in the family, inviting them into the company of those who begin real living by believing in me.’

19-20 “What could I do, King Agrippa? I couldn’t just walk away from a vision like that! I became an obedient believer on the spot. I started preaching this life-change—this radical turn to God and everything it meant in everyday life—right there in Damascus, went on to Jerusalem and the surrounding countryside, and from there to the whole world.

Paul couldn’t just walk away…even though thrown into prison…he will not walk away. His prison experience is actually an opportunity to tell the leaders of Rome, in person, Who Jesus is and what He can do for them! Radical life change. That’s how God works! That’s how God acts in and through His people.

Wow.

yes-I-believe

Dear Heavenly Father, We can’t just walk away from Paul’s words of witness about You and for You. We love you with all that is in us. We will tell of your love, power, mercy and grace as long as we live. In Jesus Name, Amen
