Romans–Passionate Christian Theology
We humans try to explain, rationalize, overemphasize, understate and generally speak only what we read and hear or think we know about God. The more we read God’s Word, we realize words to describe all that He was, is and is to come are just too small, not worthy enough. So, our minds, hearts and souls yield to the Holy Spirit to speak for us with volumes of praise, honor and gratitude for the One who saves us by His amazing, unrelenting, never ending Grace! Yes, it’s all about that GRACE!
Romans 5, The Message
3-5 There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!
What do we learn? Be patient! Be alert. Look up! See what God will do next! Know that it will always be for our good, not our harm. Why? It’s all about God’s Grace!
Dear Heavenly Father, Your love, grace and patience with us is amazing, undeserved, but amazing! Blessed is Your Name. We bow down and worship You this morning with all that is in us! We love you, adore You and look to You. We will also look for You around every corner of circumstance today. Thank you for being with us, generously pouring into our lives what is best. Thank you, Holy Spirit of God!
