Romans–Passionate Christian Theology
My momma always said, “work smarter, not harder”. That meant to plan your work in ways that get it done in the most efficient way possible. Paul give us another way to look at the work God invites us to join Him in doing…
“Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder.”
Romans 12, The Message
It’s all God’s work. His work does not belong to us. We belong to Him. He does not even need us to accomplish His work. But we are invited to join Him for “such a time is this” from moment to moment. Our work is to pray, asking what our part is and then to pray for His power within it to do it without looking back, second guessing and most of…not quitting when it gets tough. In those tough times, we pray harder, asking God to give us wisdom, insight and understanding. Sometimes we just ask Him for peace in the middle of it all. But through it all, and in all, we pray. With every step we daily offer ourselves to Him with continuous prayers asking for guidance and reassurance. He gives abundantly each time we utter these prayers.
Don’t quit…pray harder. Reflect on that today. He will restore our hope, peace, joy as He refreshes our soul. His lessons for life are learned best in the middle of tough times, for that is when our focus is acutely fixed on Him. Think about it…pray harder. Pray passionately, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father, In the middle of the waves crashing over the edge of the boat, You calmed the sea with mere words, “Peace, be still.” Why would I not trust You? I love You, Lord. What’s next, Papa? In Jesus Name, Amen
