Romans 15, The Message
Paul quotes Isaiah and reminds the Romans, and us today, of the hope we possess:
“There’s the root of our ancestor Jesse,
breaking through the earth and growing tree tall,
Tall enough for everyone everywhere to see and take hope!
Oh! May the God of hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope!”

Dear Heavenly Father, You remind us this morning that in a world where evil is evident, working to destroy us all, YOU are the voice of hope, the Person of Truth, the Savior, Deliverer and Lord of us all. Thank you for Your word of hope and peace. It is timely and much needed. Continue to be with us. May we see a glimpse of Your glory through Your work today. Either way we give you praise, for you are God and we are not! Yet will I trust You! You are my hope and peace.
in Jesus Name, Amen
