DO WE HAVE A SPIRITUAL PROBLEM?

What if we asked each other, what is the most important to you, right now, without thinking about it, what is our first response?

Evil has been around since the beginning of time. Evil has no creativity. Evil plays the same game over and over throughout time. Evil speaks lies to our minds, trying to bring us down to his size, in the same ways he spoke to Eve in the garden. Are times worse for us? OR, because of technology, is evil promoted more, trying to get our focus off God’s face so we will look more into the face of evil? We are an easily distracted people.

In times like these, you need a Savior
In times like these, you need an anchor
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

“Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust. Follow anything that makes you want to do right. Pursue faith and love and peace, and enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.” Paul mentoring Timothy (2 Tim 2:22, NLT)

This Rock is Jesus, Yes, He’s the one
This Rock is Jesus, The only One
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

“Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. the Lord’s servants must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone. They must be able to teach effectively and be patient with difficult people. They should gently teach those who oppose the truth.” (2 Tim 2:23, NLT)

In times like these you need the Bible
In times like these oh be not idle
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

“Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will believe the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from the Devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.” (2 Tim 2:25, NLT

This Rock is Jesus, Yes, He’s the one
This Rock is Jesus, The only One
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

“You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.”
(2 Tim 3:1, NLT)

Back to the question we asked from the beginning…what or who IS the most important…what is our first response?

In times like these, I have a Savior
In times like these, I have an anchor
I’m very sure, I’m very sure
My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

This Rock is Jesus, Yes, He’s the one
This Rock is Jesus, The only One
I’m very sure, I’m very sure
My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

In Jesus Name, I pray, believe and behave. Amen.

SEEKING

In this world of many voices coming at us at once, we do have the power to control most of them. Turn off the TV and any other device that speaks “world words” to you. Because I am seeking God’s will and wisdom, I have done just that today. I am calling it THRIVE THURSDAY. Thank you, Lord, for this thought as we talked together this morning.

Let His Word speak…
“Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. For everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks. –Jesus (Matt 7:7-8, NLT)

BREAKING NEWS! OPEN AROUND THE CLOCK!

BREAKING NEWS! OPEN AROUND THE CLOCK!

Well, it’s finally happened…more stores than Walmart, who have kept their doors open all day and night in some areas for years, are going to stay open for all the last minutes shoppers who “need” one more thing to make someone happy. (I’m praying for the tired workers, now.)

Guess Who is open, 24/7 even when it is not Christmas? AND He promises a storehouse of everything we need! Yes, He has EVERYthing! He IS everything we need! He never sleeps. He is open 24/7, EVERY day of the year. AND, get this, there are no exchange or refund lines…for his love is perfect, the perfect gift! Who would want to give that back in exchange for something…less than? Mm.

“I look up to the mountains–does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made the heavens and the earth! He will not let you stumble and fall; the one who watches over you will not sleep.” Psalm 121:1-3, NLT

“The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” Psalm 121:8, NLT

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” –Jesus (John 3:16, NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, You came into our world, moved into our neighborhood and brought eternal salvation to those who believe. I believe. In Jesus Name, I Believe. Amen.

OUR ONLY HOPE

“We depend on the LORD alone to save us. Only he can help us, protecting us like a shield.

In him our hearts rejoice, for we are trusting in his holy name.

Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in you alone.” Psalm 33, NLT

In Jesus Name, Amen

Just a few words of encouragement in this busyness. Let us not forget our ONLY hope is God alone through Jesus Christ. We must not keep the “story” of God just a baby in the straw, but as the God/man of Truth who saved the world. Our Only Hope. Jesus!

OUR SHEPHERD

OUR SHEPHERD.

OUR SHEPHERD

A heavenly host came to the lowliest…shepherds, to announce the birth of THE Shepherd of all, a new kind of King, THE KING!

The worst job in Israel, still today, is to watch over sheep….to be a shepherd. David, the shepherd, who became a king, writes about our Shepherd, who came to us, in a lowly, less than “kingly” way, not to condemn and judge, but to help us live our lives knowing Him. This “song” is the epitome of relationship over religion. It’s what God wants with all of us. Be encouraged….

“The LORD is my shepherd; I have everything I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.

Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.

You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You welcome me as a guest, anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.” Ps 23, NLT

My prayer this morning. In Jesus Name, Amen
