Reality shows are, well, not reality. There I said it out loud and just now wrote it down for all to read. John, Jesus’ “beloved disciple”, as he calls himself, explains the difference in God’s Reality and the world’s.
“My dear children, let’s not just talk about love, let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living, truly living in God’s reality. It’s also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves.” 1 John 3, Msg
“AND friends, once that’s taken care of and we’re no longer accusing or condemning ourselves, we’re bold and free before God! We’re able to stretch our hands out and receive what we asked for because we’re doing what he said, doing what pleases him.” 1 John 3, Msg
“Again, this is God’s command: to believe in his personally named Son, Jesus Christ. He told us to love each other, in line with the original command. As we keep his commands, we live deeply and surely in him, and he lives in us. And this is how we experience his deep and abiding presence in us: by the Sprit he gave us.”

CAN I GET AN AMEN!!
I always put myself down before anyone else can. That is wrong! No matter what I’ve done, God loves me still. No matter what I missed doing, I’m still a child of His! The world’s reality DOES NOT fit us…so stop trying to wear those clothes that do not fit you! Self-criticism is a waste of precious time! AND it is debilitating! Instead…Go with God, Your Father! Know Him. Follow Him. Believe on Him. Live for Him. God’s reality. He will never leave you, condemn you or love you less than He loves you today. Know that!
Dear Heavenly Father, Help us to keep our eyes on YOU, Your word to us, and Your Presence with us. Your reality is the one we want to live…forever! In Jesus Name, Amen
