WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?

John 1, The Message

We are always wondering what our purpose is in life. Maybe, just maybe we are making this process too complicated. I read the next paragraph from John 1 that introduces us to John the Baptizer, and it all becomes clear to me that is just this:

John 1, The Message
6-8 There once was a man, his name John, sent by God to point out the way to the Life-Light. He came to show everyone where to look, who to believe in. John was not himself the Light; he was there to show the way to the Light.

Our purpose? To point the way to Jesus, the Light as we follow in the direction of The Light ourselves. “Come alongside, we will follow The Light together!” is our purpose and our song we sing all day long and into the night. For no matter the “weather”, we see the Light, we have the Son reflecting His Light brightly from our faces.

In Jesus Name, Amen. I believe.
