Timothy and Titus Training 101
Leadership Principle #1: KNOW your message. I am a sinner. Jesus came to save sinners like me.
“Here’s a word you can take to heart and depend on: Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. I’m proof–Public Sinner Number One–of someone who could never have made it apart from sheer mercy.” 1 Timothy 1, The Message
A true leader leads others to define their message as sinners saved by grace:
“And now he (God) shows me off–evidence of his endless patience–to those who are right on the edge of trusting him forever. Deep honor and bright glory to the King of All Time–One God, Immortal, Invisible, ever and always. Oh, yes!” 1 Timothy 1, the Message
A great leader produces other great leaders…
“I’m passing this work on to you, my son Timothy. The prophetic word that was directed to you prepared us for this.” 1 Timothy 1, The Message
You can only take others as far as YOU have been in God’s Word and actions.
Warning…FOCUS….Get a grip!
“All those prayers are coming together now so you will do this well, fearless in your struggle, keeping a firm grip on your faith and on yourself. After all, this is a fight we’re in. There are some, you know, who by relaxing their grip and thinking anything goes have made a thorough mess of their faith.

Dear Heavenly Father, We are led by your Holy Spirit to take Your nuggets of leadership wisdom, one small bite at a time. The relationship between Paul and Timothy reveal many lessons in leadership and followership. It is so important for us to follow You first and throughout as you assign us tasks along our journey that are too big for us alone. Thank you for your help through others in our lives who have taught and led us with wisdom, unconditionally love, mercy and grace. Thank you for saving us, as sinners saved by grace. Continue to go with us.
In Jesus Name, Amen
