ENCORE! ONE SWEET SOUND…

Psalms – Prayers of Honesty and Praise

Psalm 98 joyGod came down in the form of a child. His Word told humanity before it happened. Those who believe and trust in Him praise God for His work of salvation.

There will be an “encore” of praise because Jesus is coming back. Know that. Praise Him! Now!

The psalmist, as other prophets, foretold the acts of God’s love. He’s done it and He’ll do it again!

Your Christmas is indeed Merry if you know God intimately in a growing love relationship with God through Jesus Christ, His Son. Now, celebrate Him this day. Shout it from the rooftops…God is alive. Jesus saved us! May we give an encore of praise to One and Only who redeemed us!

Psalm 98, The Message
Psalm 98 rejoice
Sing to God a brand-new song.
He’s made a world of wonders!

He rolled up his sleeves,
He set things right.

2 God made history with salvation,
He showed the world what he could do.

3 He remembered to love us, a bonus
To his dear family, Israel—indefatigable love.

The whole earth comes to attention.
Look—God’s work of salvation!

4 Shout your praises to God, everybody!
Let loose and sing! Strike up the band!

Psalm-98-voice.jpegPsalm 98 trumpets.jpg5 Round up an orchestra to play for God,
Add on a hundred-voice choir.

6 Feature trumpets and big trombones,
Fill the air with praises to King God.

7 Let the sea and its fish give a round of applause,
With everything living on earth joining in.

8 Let ocean breakers call out, “Encore!”
And mountains harmonize the finale—

9 A tribute to God when he comes,
When he comes to set the earth right.

He’ll straighten out the whole world,
He’ll put the world right, and everyone in it.

Psalm 98 sound
Dear Heavenly Father,
I hear the heavenlies tuning their instruments. The voices of million angels are ready to sing your praise and tell of your love with gratitude for you continuous work in us, for us, and through us. I’m listening for you, Lord. May Your peace and love overwhelm our being as we celebrate your first coming which won’t be your last. I believe.
In Jesus Name, Amen

And I’m singing…

I listen to the Trumpet of Jesus
While the world hears a different sound
I march to the drumbeat of God Almighty
While the others just wander around
I’m a member of the Holy Ghost traveling band
We’re moving on up to a better land
I hear the voice of the Supernatural singing
Like only those who know Him can

One sweet sound makes
A whole world of difference
When the world seems indifferent to you
His Melody of love calls you to be great
When marking time was all you thought you could do
So if you’ve been playing all your days by ear
Never knowing what your song was to be
Then pull up a chair, let down your hair
And take a few lessons from me

[Chorus:]

A spiritual fanfare has a sound all it’s own
At the birth of a lasting song
It’s been two thousand years since Jesus was born
And still the celebration goes on
If you feel the need to get your life in tune
‘Cause you’re tired of the derdge every day
Then turn yourself around,
Put your feet on the ground
And just hear what I have to say

YES, one sweet sound makes a whole world of difference…BE the sweet sound of His redemption today!

Merry Christmas!
