100!

Psalms – Prayers of Praise!

psalm 100
We made it to the 100th Psalm! Woohoo! That’s right! We have been 100 days diving into the pain and praises of God’s people! Get the band ready to play! Tune your instruments so there will be no discords. Play to the rhythm and flow of God’s mercy and grace. Follow HIS lead. March to the beat of HIS drum.
Psalm 100 band
To God be the glory, great things He has done! He keeps us in line and on our toes! He loves all the musicians in His ragamuffin band who focus on Him. He loves how we love each other in the band. It makes Him smile. Ah, the smile of the Director makes us, who long to please Him, smile brighter. We even laugh out loud! What a gift to be known and loved by the God who created us and saved us!

Psalm 100, The Message

Psalm 100 grace
1-2 On your feet now—applaud God!
Bring a gift of laughter,
sing yourselves into his presence.

Psalm-100-His.jpg
3 Know this: God is God, and God, God.

He made us; we didn’t make him.

We’re his people, his well-tended sheep.

Enter with the password: “Thank you!”
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank him. Worship him.

Psalm 100 5
5 For God is
sheer beauty,
all-generous in love,
loyal always and ever.

DID YOU KNOW…
Happiness does not lead to gratefulness. A grateful heart breeds a happy heart in people. It is gratefulness that breeds joy. Want joy? Be grateful. It has also been researched and revealed that a successful person is a grateful, joyous person. Success does not bring happiness. Joyful, grateful people are more likely to be successful.

CHALLENGE:
List all the ways God has blessed us. Seriously…Let’s see if we can list 100 ways today! The challenge is on! After the list is made, I guarantee our attitudes and the countenances on our faces will change! We will see ourselves and the world around us with a new perspective. What a way to begin a new year, right?

Psalm-100-worship.jpg
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank YOU, praise YOU and honor YOU with our list of all that you have done, are doing and will do in our lives as we follow the beat of your drum and behave in the rhythm and flow of our grace. Thank you for saving us and making us whole again. Thank you for your love that is deeply embedded into our being. Thank you for–forever being with us.
In Jesus Name, Amen

And the list goes on….

And I’m singing…(Reckless Love by Cory Asbury)

Before I spoke a word, You were singing over me
You have been so, so good to me
Before I took a breath, You breathed Your life in me
You have been so, so kind to me

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it, still, You give Yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah

When I was Your foe, still Your love fought for me
You have been so, so good to me
When I felt no worth, You paid it all for me
You have been so, so kind to me

And oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine
And I couldn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it, still, You give Yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah

There’s no shadow You won’t light up
Mountain You won’t climb up
Coming after me

There’s no wall You won’t kick down
Lie You won’t tear down
Coming after me

There’s no shadow You won’t light up
Mountain You won’t climb up
Coming after me….
