Psalms – Prayers of Honesty and Praise

WOW, what a journey we have been on for over 150 days! Remember, we had to give more days to Psalm 119. We have learned from God through these writers about the God who loves us greatly, unconditionally, limitless and forever. We have learned that God is always with us and wants the best for us. The writers knew God intimately and were not afraid to tell God exactly what was on their hearts and minds. God spoke volumes back to them in those times of their lives. God spoke (and speaks) to us.
Here we are at Psalm 150. I’m a bit sad that we are finished (for now) but I’m at peace that this work to learn and grow through the Psalms was tenaciously read. I thank God for giving me words to write, led by His Holy Spirit. To God be the glory! It is accomplished…until we read another time.
I praise God for all He has done, is doing and will do. In my mind I am recalling specifically all that He brought us through, how He prepared us for where we are now, and all that details that brought us to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I’m thanking God for all of you who are praying for us and donating your hard earned funds to help us live and work here with others. I’m grateful for the lovely people of this country who are loving, kind and helpful to us. I am excited for worship with all of God’s people this morning! How fitting to close the psalms with corporate worship on this Lord’s Day. We give God glory, honor and praise.That was and is all you, God…and we thank you, praise you with all that is in us. Hallelujah, indeed!
Psalm 150, The Message
1-6 Hallelujah!
Praise God in his holy house of worship,
praise him under the open skies;
Praise him for his acts of power,
praise him for his magnificent greatness;
Praise with a blast on the trumpet, praise by strumming soft strings;
Praise him with castanets and dance,
praise him with banjo and flute;

Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum,
praise him with fiddles and mandolin.
Let every living, breathing creature praise God!
Hallelujah!

I praise God every time I remember you…
Philippians 1:3
In Jesus Name, Amen. I believe.
