KNOWN

To be known and acknowledged gives strength and energy to a tired soul.  To be loved unconditionally and deeply brings life abundant to our being.  To be cherished so greatly as a special creation of God is outstanding and too much for our small minds to think or imagine at times.  God is in heaven.  God is here.  God knows every person born along with how many hairs are on each head.  God knows our thoughts.  Yes, God knows us better than we know ourselves—and still He loves us so much he sent his son to die in our place for our sins.  God knows what we will say before it comes to our minds.  God saw us in the womb of our moms.  God knows my name.  God knows your name.

We were on Jesus’ mind as He took all sin on his shoulders, held himself to a cross of shame in front of the world and paid the penalty for all sins. Yes, I am known by God who knew I would need a Savior.  I am known by God, Our Father in Heaven, who knew I would need an advocate to the Father.  I am known by Jesus who is God in flesh who came down from heaven to stand in my place for my sin.  I am known.  You are known.

No one knows and loves you more than God, Jesus and His Holy Spirit.

Be still and know Him.  Hear Him.  Trust Him.

Psalm 139, The Message  (Personal Favorite)

1-6 God, investigate my life;
    get all the facts firsthand.
I’m an open book to you;
    even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking.
You know when I leave and when I get back;
    I’m never out of your sight.
You know everything I’m going to say
    before I start the first sentence.
I look behind me and you’re there,
    then up ahead and you’re there, too—
    your reassuring presence, coming and going.
This is too much, too wonderful—
    I can’t take it all in!

7-12 Is there any place I can go to avoid your Spirit?
    to be out of your sight?
If I climb to the sky, you’re there!
    If I go underground, you’re there!
If I flew on morning’s wings
    to the far western horizon,
You’d find me in a minute—
    you’re already there waiting!
Then I said to myself, “Oh, he even sees me in the dark!
    At night I’m immersed in the light!”
It’s a fact: darkness isn’t dark to you;
    night and day, darkness and light, they’re all the same to you.

13-16 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
    you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
    Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
    I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
    you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
    how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
    all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
    before I’d even lived one day.

17-22 Your thoughts—how rare, how beautiful!
    God, I’ll never comprehend them!
I couldn’t even begin to count them—
    any more than I could count the sand of the sea.
Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with you!
    And please, God, do away with wickedness for good!
And you murderers—out of here!—
    all the men and women who belittle you, God,
    infatuated with cheap god-imitations.
See how I hate those who hate you, God,
    see how I loathe all this godless arrogance;
I hate it with pure, unadulterated hatred.
    Your enemies are my enemies!

23-24 Investigate my life, O God,
    find out everything about me;
Cross-examine and test me,
    get a clear picture of what I’m about;
See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong—
    then guide me on the road to eternal life.

TRUTH:  God, our Father, the creator of our lives, who IS Life, loves us, knows us and loves us greater still.  God is all knowing.  He knows us by name.  He longs for us to love Him back.  He wants to guide us to His best for us.  Be still (let go of all else in this world, including self), and know Him.  He died to have a close, personal intimate relationship with us.

And He’s coming back for his own someday.  Know and be known.

Proverb 8:17, The Message

WISDOM: “I love those who love me; those who look for me find me.”

Seek the God who knows us well and loves us unconditionally.

Abba, Father in Heaven,

Thank you for knowing me and wanting to be with me everywhere I go!  Thank you for knowing me so well that you know what I need.  Thank for protecting me and providing for me before I know I need it.  Thank you for wanting a close relationship with me that sustains me, keeps me calm in the storms of life, and gives life and energy to my being.  Thank you for loving me the way you do even while knowing me and my messes.  Thank you for guiding me to your best with mercy and grace coming along beside me.  Thank you for saving my soul and making me whole.  Thank you for the honor to be known by You.

In Jesus Name, Amen.  I believe.
