This song we raise Lord
Throughout the endless ages
You will be crowned with praises
Lord Most High
Exalted in every nation
Sovereign of all creation
Lord Most High be magnified
Lord,
As we read your Word, we hear the choirs of heaven and earth sing your praises. May YOU alone be glorified and may all ages in all nations bow before you, echo your praises and receive your salvation—the gift that keeps on giving—forever and ever, Amen. Yes, Lord, we praise you; for you alone are worthy of all the praises of your creation! May the rocks cry, the mountains rejoice, the flowers bend to you with thanksgiving and rivers be a sign of your forever flowing blessings of Life! May all mankind give you praise!
To you be the glory!
In Jesus Name, Amen
Psalm 61, The Message
For the director of music. With stringed instruments. Of David.
1-2 God, listen to me shout,
bend an ear to my prayer.
When I’m far from anywhere,
down to my last gasp,
I call out, “Guide me
up High Rock Mountain!”
3-5 You’ve always given me breathing room,
a place to get away from it all,
A lifetime pass to your safe-house,
an open invitation as your guest.
You’ve always taken me seriously, God,
made me welcome among those who know and love you.
6-8 Let the days of the king add up
to years and years of good rule.
Set his throne in the full light of God;
post Steady Love and Good Faith as lookouts,
And I’ll be the poet who sings your glory—
and live what I sing every day.
WHAT DO WE LEARN—HOW DO WE RESPOND?
We respond with pure praise for our Lord Almighty who came to save us from our sins, heal our brokenness, making us whole and worthy to walk with our God!
Lord Most High
Exalted in every nation
Sovereign of all creation
Lord Most High be magnified
Psalm 61, NIV The Echo of praise!
Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.
2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe.
4 I long to dwell in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
5 For you, God, have heard my vows;
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
6 Increase the days of the king’s life,
his years for many generations.
7 May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever;
appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.
8 Then I will ever sing in praise of your name
and fulfill my vows day after day.
Yes, and Amen!
