As I grow more mature in my being and hear “truth be said…” be the opening words of a statement of human opinion pour out, I am immediately skeptical and even shudder at times. I try not to judge the person, but I am concerned with the person’s resources for their knowledge of what is truth.  Most of all, I am concerned for their hearts, minds, and souls. To speak Truth; we must know Truth. Truth is the Person of Jesus Christ and therefore is the only Source of Truth.  It does not matter if we believe in Truth who is Jesus or not. Jesus is Truth.  Jesus gave this teaching of truth one evening to one of His disciples who loved Jesus but was struggling with a few doubts.  Jesus did not reprimand Thomas for his wonderings and doubts but compassionately led him as The Way to Truth Who gives Life eternal;

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”    –Jesus, John 14:1-7

ר Resh T is Truth in exchange for Troubles

Take a good look at my trouble, and help me—
    I haven’t forgotten your revelation.
Take my side and get me out of this;
    give me back my life, just as you promised.
“Salvation” is only gibberish to the wicked
    because they’ve never looked it up in your dictionary.
Your mercies, God, run into the billions;
    following your guidelines, revive me.

My antagonists are too many to count,
    but I don’t swerve from the directions you gave.
I took one look at the quitters and was filled with loathing;
    they walked away from your promises so casually!
Take note of how I love what you tell me;

WHAT DO WE LEARN—HOW DO WE RESPOND?

“You have heard it said, but I say to you,” began Jesus who was Truth in His teachings to correct the misinformation or lack of knowledge with Truth.  Jesus was the Light of the Word who was the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth!

If we want Truth for our daily life decisions—Seek Truth.  “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” –Jeremiah 29:13

If we are deciding between what the world has told us and what Jesus said, read His Word who is Truth.  If we wonder, even after reading God’s Word of instruction and direction, if we are walking humbly with God, ask His Holy Spirit for help for He is eager to guide us to Truth with love and compassion while correcting our path.  God’s Holy Spirit lives in us to keep us focused on our Way to Truth—the Light of the World.  Eternal Life begins with our surrender to God in the Name of Jesus and continues forever until we see Him face to face!  This is the blessed assurance that has been sung for generations who knew Truth!  Live Truth.

“Have you noticed that the writer became more urgent as he drew near the end of the psalm? The Hebrew alphabet was about to end, but his trials would continue, and he needed the help of the Lord. The last three stanzas all speak of persecution and trials, yet the writer still trusted the Lord.

In His incarnation, Jesus entered the human family and became our kinsman, and in the crucifixion, He paid the price to redeem us from sin, death, and hell. Jesus is our family redeemer and also our “surety” (v. 122), Mediator, and Advocate, who represents us before the throne of God (1 John 2:1, 2). In our affliction, it is comforting to know that the Son of God intercedes for us, hears our prayers, and meets our needs.

If we prayed on the basis of our own merit, God could never answer, but we come to the Father in the name of the Son (John 14:14; 15:16) and with the help of the Spirit (Eph. 2:18; see Rom. 8:26, 27). God in His grace gives us what we do not deserve, and in His mercy He does not give us what we do deserve. Lord,

We need you every hour to guide us through troubles and trials that can hinder our and sway our knowledge of Truth.  The enemy uses our troubles in this world to hinder our relationship with you. Thank you for the blessed assurance of Truth who never leaves or forsakes us, who is our Overcomer of evil, and our loving and compassionate Savior and Lord of our lives!  To you be all the glory, honor and praise.  I’m yours. I’m leaning on your everlasting arms, depending on your forever love, unending mercies, and amazing grace to help me each day.  I’m glad I know You.  I’m glad to know Truth.
