GOD WORKS IN ALL THE DETAILS OF OUR LIVES!

I don’t know about you but I pray often for God to be in all the details of our lives on earth as it is in heaven.  I am happy, ecstatic to report that God is doing it again.  I got word last night that my Amazon Prime account had been hacked by someone who changed my email and preceded to change my phone number and place an order!  I rose early this morning to begin calling Amazon customer service. Three phone numbers later, I got to the person who easily put my account back in control.  Of course, I change my password immediately to something much stronger.  The hacker tried to be me, place an order, but failed. The bank refused the purchase.  Amazon locked down the account before I called. The customer service representative said I was lucky.  No, God was in this, working on our behalf!   He also led me to the right people at the right time to correct the situation and make the account more secure.

Another problem was solved this morning in the same hour!  Our security lights went out for some unknown reason. Because this house is new to us, we couldn’t find the light switch to these particular lights in the garage. The neighbor came over with a tester to see if the power was getting to the sockets.  Yes, power was there. He told me where his switch was located but it was not where ours was.  Then, I looked up at the ceiling fan that had two wall switches.  We thought bought were for the fan and had turned one off!  The one we turned off was for the garage lights.  No need to buy new special light sensitive bulbs, no need for an electrician, just turn on the right switch!

I believe God works on our behalf daily in all the details of our lives when we ask Him and remember to thank Him when He does!  AND I think He has fun doing it!  I love putting a

“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” Psalm 37:23, NLT

“Surely I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
Zephania 3:17

The Psalmist is leading God’s People in worship with thanksgiving!  He opens with this thought— “If God hadn’t been for us…”  Yikes!  We wouldn’t have a chance against the evil of this world!

Psalm 124, The Message

A song of ascents. Of David.

1-5
If God hadn’t been for us
    —all together now, Israel, sing out! —
If God hadn’t been for us
    when everyone went against us,
We would have been swallowed alive
    by their violent anger,
Swept away by the flood of rage,
    drowned in the torrent;
We would have lost our lives
    in the wild, raging water.

Oh, blessed be God!
    He didn’t go off and leave us.
He didn’t abandon
us defenseless,
    helpless as a rabbit in a pack of snarling dogs.

We’ve flown free from their fangs,
    free of their traps, free as a bird.
Their grip is broken;
    we’re free as a bird in flight.

God’s strong name is our help,
    the same God who made heaven and earth.

WHAT DO WE LEARN—HOW DO WE RESPOND?

Warren Wierbe gives something to consider for verses 7-8;

“The picture is that of a helpless bird who heedlessly walked into the trap in order to eat the food. Satan always has fascinating bait to offer. The Lord may allow us to fall into a trap, but nobody can keep us there when He wants us to be free. The Lord not only opened the trap but broke it so it cannot be used again! The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has broken the dominion of sin and death, and we can walk in freedom through Jesus Christ.”—Wiersbe Study Bible

God’s strong name is our help!

Jesus is our Redeeming Savior!

God’s Holy Spirit is our guide to all that is Truth!

Believe then, through good times and challenging times on earth that all who believe can rest in that blessed assurance that “God is for us; not against us.”  His timing and His ways are always perfect.  Trust Him.  Even if, He does not act when we want Him to act or fix our problems our way; He’s still working behalf perfectly for those who hearts are completely His. What a blessing God is!  There is no one like our God!  He leads; we follow.

Paul’s inspired words reassure us!

“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?  Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself.  Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”—Paul to the church then and now. Romans 8:31-38

Lord,

How encouraging you are to us in every way!  Thank you for being all the details of our lives—from small to large—that strengthens and promotes the growth of our faith in you. Thank you for being with me, leading me, step by step in all the details of life. Thank you for saving my soul, making me whole, and teaching me by your wisdom, especially in tests and trials that perplex me.  Increase your wisdom in me as I surrender to your will.

In Jesus Name, Amen
