There is a saying, “dance like no one is watching”, that has made it’s rounds on the Facebook feeds of many people. Today I noticed a video of a boy who is surrounded by people who obviously love him, encourage him, and cheer him on as he rounds the bases in a baseball game designed for his special needs. Go here to see:
Can I propose something to you? In our churches, individuals of all ages and phases of life, have special needs…the need to be loved and accepted. What if we, as a Body of Christ, ran the bases WITH each other, encouraged each other and celebrated with each other like the people in the video so aptly represent? Wouldn’t that be cause for celebration? Oh, how that would thrill the heart of God and put a smile on HIS face. Isn’t that what we are after in our faith? Making God smile with how we treat each other? God is pleased when we love each other. I bet He has his own special dance He does when we “score” by helping and loving each other! Where do you think our desire to dance in victory comes from? (Smiling at the thought.)
1 Thessalonians 4, The Message
You’re God-Taught
1-3 One final word, friends. We ask you—urge is more like it—that you keep on doing what we told you to do to please God, not in a dogged religious plod, but in a living, spirited dance. You know the guidelines we laid out for you from the Master Jesus. God wants you to live a pure life.

–Keep dancing!
–Keep doing what pleases God!
–Celebrate!
–Live a pure life. Be free and happy in Jesus.
–Smile.
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are amazing and beautiful. We see glimpses of you in others. We pray that others see glimpses of you in us. Continue to transform me. Transform your church. Transform the world.
In Jesus Name, Amen
