There really is no better place to be than in the center of God’s will when we turn our entire life over to Him. Blessed is the man, woman, and child who say yes to God! There is no one like our God who created mankind in His own image lovingly and carefully as His own. We are indeed His Masterpiece! As believers, we are indeed rich in His grace, filled with His righteousness because of His mercy, and loved beyond what our hearts, minds, and souls can contain! We truly are blessed, forgiven, and made new through Jesus Christ our Savior and our Lord. So, shout it out, tell His story, and celebrate what God, through Jesus, has done, is doing and will do for we are His!
Psalm 32, The Message
Count yourself lucky, how happy you must be—
you get a fresh start,
your slate’s wiped clean.
2 Count yourself lucky—
God holds nothing against you
and you’re holding nothing back from him.
3 When I kept it all inside,
my bones turned to powder,
my words became daylong groans.
4 The pressure never let up;
all the juices of my life dried up.
5 Then I let it all out;
I said, “I’ll come clean about my failures to God.”
Suddenly the pressure was gone—
my guilt dissolved,
my sin disappeared.
6 These things add up. Every one of us needs to pray;
when all hell breaks loose and the dam bursts
we’ll be on high ground, untouched.
7 God’s my island hideaway,
keeps danger far from the shore,
throws garlands of hosannas around my neck.
8 Let me give you some good advice;
I’m looking you in the eye
and giving it to you straight:
9 “Don’t be ornery like a horse or mule
that needs bit and bridle
to stay on track.”
10 God-defiers are always in trouble;
God-affirmers find themselves loved
every time they turn around.
11 Celebrate God.
Sing together—everyone!
All you honest hearts, raise the roof!
WHAT DO WE LEARN—HOW DO WE RESPOND?
The more we praise God the more we feel and know the love of God for us!
The more we thank God in all circumstances, the more God blesses us with love, mercy, and grace.
The more we call on the name of the Lord, the devil flees! We find ourselves loved and cared for by our God as “God-affirmers”!
We are indeed in God’s care as we look to Him each day for His will and His ways.
And we’re singing…”New Wine” sung by Hillsong, Composed by Brooke Fraser…
In the crushing
In the pressing
You are making
New wine
In the soil, I
Now surrender
You are breaking
New ground
So I yield to You and to Your careful hand
When I trust You I don’t need to understand
Make me Your vessel
Make me an offering
Make me whatever You want me to be
I came here with nothing
But all You have given me
Jesus, bring new wine out of me….
‘Cause where there is new wine
There is new power
There is new freedom
And the kingdom is here
I lay down my old flames
To carry Your new fire today
Make me Your vessel
Make me an offering
Make me whatever You want me to be
I came here with nothing
But all You have given me
Jesus, bring new wine out of me….
Lord,
Thank you for the psalms that bring other scripture songs in my life to mind that encourage, comfort, confirm, convict, correct, and compel me to be resolved and steadfast in my faith in You. Let this morning bring Word of your unfailing love for I put my trust in You. Show me the way to go for I have entrusted my life to you in surrender to Your Will. Lead me through all the details of today in your way in your time for your glory. We are indeed blessed, loved, forgiven and made new! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
In Jesus Name, Amen
